Education has always changed with new tools. Books, calculators and the internet all made learning bigger and faster. AI is the next big step, and it may be the most exciting one yet.
A patient tutor for every learner
In a busy classroom, it is hard for a teacher to give every student one-to-one help. AI can fill that gap. It can explain a topic in a new way, give an example from your favourite sport, create practice questions, or go over a lesson again, as many times as you need, at any time of day.
This means each learner can move at their own pace. Fast learners can go further. Learners who need more time can get it, without feeling left behind.
More time for great teaching
Teachers spend many hours on planning, marking and paperwork. AI can help with much of this, so teachers have more time for what only people can do: inspire, guide, encourage and care. AI does not replace great teachers. It gives them more room to be great.
More learning by doing
With AI, learners can build things much sooner. A school student can design a simple app idea. A university student can analyse real data. A professional can improve a real task from their job. Learning by doing makes knowledge stick, and it is a lot more fun.
Human skills grow stronger
When AI can find answers quickly, the most valuable skill is asking good questions. Learning with AI builds important human skills:
- Critical thinking: checking if an answer is correct, fair and complete.
- Creativity: using AI as a partner to explore new ideas.
- Communication: explaining clearly what you want and why.
- Good judgement: knowing when to use AI, and when to use your own thinking.
Learning that never stops
AI keeps improving, so learning about it never really ends. That is good news. It means anyone, at any age, can keep growing. A parent, a manager or a recent graduate can all pick up new AI skills in weeks, not years.
The world is moving in the same direction
Around the world, educators are making AI part of learning. In 2024, UNESCO published AI competency frameworks for students and for teachers. Here in the UAE, AI is now part of the public school curriculum from kindergarten to Grade 12, starting in the 2025–26 school year. The message is clear: learning to work with AI is now part of a good education.
Five simple tips for learning well with AI
- Ask it to explain, not just answer. "Help me understand" teaches you more than "give me the answer".
- Check the facts. AI can make mistakes, so confirm important points with a trusted source.
- Keep your own voice. Use AI for ideas and feedback, then write in your own words.
- Protect your privacy. Do not share personal or private details with AI tools.
- Reflect. At the end, ask yourself: what did I learn today?
The future of learning is a partnership
The best learning happens when people and AI work together. People bring curiosity, values and purpose. AI brings speed, patience and endless examples. Together, they make learning more personal, more practical and more human. That is the future we are excited to help build.
